Pet Corneal Ulcer Treatment | The Vet Clinic

Veterinary Pathology

Medical procedures of any size can be anxiety-inducing, which is why at SEAH we want to make blood work as seamless and painless as possible for both you and your pet.

Our team offers a spectrum of blood work procedures that are carried out with a wide range of the very best laboratory equipment. We are capable of performing most full blood count tests and biochemistry analyses. These tests are done on site and patients usually receive their results in 10 to 20 minutes.

We’re equipped to perform a wide range of tests, including:

  • hypo- and hypercortisolaemia, otherwise known as Addison’s disease and Cushing’s disease
  • thyroid tests in order to check for hypothyroidism in dogs and hyperthyroidism in cats
  • pancreatic lipase tests to check for canine or feline pancreatitis, meaning inflammation of the pancreas
  • Parvovirus and FIV/FeLV testing

Preparation for the tests

You and your pet can prepare for these tests in a couple of ways. First, we always recommend you educate yourself on what the procedure is, what it is testing for and why we think it is necessary to run this test. We are always more than happy to answer your questions throughout the process and to point you towards helpful resources. Secondly, you can ensure that your pet arrives at our facility with an empty stomach. We know how hard it is to resist giving treats to that adorable little face or to turn your back on your pet’s hungry whine the morning-of. However, these measures will assure that you get the best results from your pet’s blood tests.
