We do so by using radiology to evaluate the health of the organs and bones in a non-invasive manner. Our radiology system is of the highest quality, enabling us to provide superior care for our patients.
When an animal has been hit by a car, has refused food or been vomiting, has experienced hip or elbow scoring or any other kind of trauma, x-rays provide us with the details we need to determine the next step in your pet’s treatment – in no time at all! The system we utilise for radiology is capable of generating images less than 10 seconds after being taken and results from x-rays are usually ready between 10 to 20 minutes after the procedure is completed.
We know that the radiology process itself can be stressful for both pet and owner, so we encourage our clients to assist in the positioning of their pets if they are present, prior to the x-rays being taken. We also take most x-rays while the patient is awake. This significantly reduces the cost to our clients without compromising the quality of the information that will lead to our staff’s decisions on further treatment requirements.
